An independent, public-interest platform for methane mitigation solutions makes it possible to do what individual organizations on their own cannot: identify the barriers holding deployment back, exchange practical knowledge and coordinate collective problem-solving - while increasing the public profile for methane as a climate solution.

OUR VISION: a world in which methane mitigation solutions are fully deployed and we've bent the curve on rising global temperatures.

ABOUT THE METHANE MITIGATION COUNCIL
The Methane Mitigation Council (MMC) is a new public-interest platform for methane mitigation solutions. Founded in the summer of 2026 as a charitable project, our mission is to speed up deployment of methane mitigation solutions - the fastest way to slow climate change. We do this by bringing providers of methane mitigation solution together (commercial and non-commercial) across all emitting sectors to make it easier for public, private and civil society organizations to understand what's available -- and work through what’s blocking deployment. Our vision is a world in which methane mitigation solutions are fully deployed and we've bent the curve on rising global temperatures. |
